The Hitching Post Restaurant has a 50 year tradition of serving the "World's Best Barbeque" to folks from all over the world. We serve only the finest beef from the Midwest, our speciality since 1952 and also feature fresh seafood, ribs and chicken.

Our catering has taken us to many parts of California and as far as Indiana! Most events feature the famous "Santa Maria- Style Barbeque", known around the world. For those unfamiliar, our chefs cook roast-size chunks of Top Sirloin beef over red oakwood, seasoned with salt, pepper and garlic salt. Also served with the typical SM barbeque are Santa Maria Pinquito beans(small pinks grown locally), tossed green salad, macaroni salad, toasted sweet french garlic bread and salsa! Other entree choices include fresh Halibut, Grilled Vegetables, Breast of Chicken, Baby Back Pork Ribs, Shrimp, Lobster and Pork Chops. We also have a variety of salads and desserts to choose from.

Service options include buffet-style, (our waitstaff serves your guest from the buffet)or sitdown(our waitstaff serves your seated guests.) We can also cater the bar for you, and provide a bartender. Another service we provide is arranging for any rentals you may need. We can also provide you with names of other vendors(florists, photographers, DJ's, etc.) that we have personally worked with ourselves.
